1. About this policy
This policy describes how Spark Health handles personal information when you use our website and wellness tools. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@healthspark.co.
2. Information we collect
When you continue with Google, we receive account information supplied by Google, such as your account identifier, name, email address and profile image. We do not receive your Google password.
We store workouts, meal plans, recipes and exercises you choose to save, linked to your account. Searches and generation settings, including calorie targets and diet preferences, are processed to provide the requested results. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your email.
Technical information, such as request details and error reports, may be processed by our hosting and security services to keep the service reliable and protect it from misuse.
3. How we use information
We use information to sign you in, maintain your account, show your saved items, deliver requested exercise and nutrition results, answer enquiries and protect the service. We do not use your information to make medical decisions or provide a clinical diagnosis.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in security and reliability, legal obligations, or consent where required. Fitness and dietary choices may reveal sensitive information: avoid entering medical details into searches or messages.
4. Camera access
The barcode scanner requests camera permission only when you open it. Camera frames are processed in your browser to recognise a barcode; the recognised digits are used for product lookup. The scanner does not upload or save camera recordings. You can decline permission and enter a barcode manually.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use providers for hosting, account authentication, secure data storage and exercise, recipe and nutrition results. They process information needed to supply those services. Google also processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety or security.
Some providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers must use appropriate legal safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Essential browser storage keeps your sign-in session working. Camera permission is controlled by your browser. Blocking essential storage may prevent account features from working. This policy does not imply consent to non-essential tracking; if such tracking is introduced, any required notice and consent must be provided.
7. Retention and security
We keep account information and saved items while your account remains active and for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. When you request deletion, we delete or anonymise applicable data subject to those requirements; backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle.
We use access controls and secure connections to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your Google account secure and do not send passwords or payment details by email.
8. Your choices and rights
You can remove saved items from your dashboard and sign out at any time. Email hello@healthspark.co to request account deletion or, where applicable, access, correction, a copy of your information, restriction or objection to processing. We may verify your identity before acting.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within applicable legal time limits.
9. Children
Spark Health is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Updates
We may update this policy as our service changes. The date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice where a material change or applicable law requires it.
